Project Overview
During my internship at Rack Room Shoes, I developed a series of promotional screens designed to enhance the user experience during the checkout process. These screens automatically display in the user's cart based on eligibility, offering personalized promotions tailored to the customer. The goal was to boost customer engagement, increase conversion rates, and drive sales by surfacing relevant promotions at a critical moment in the shopping journey.
Problem: The challenge was to create promotional screens that would engage users without disrupting the checkout process. The screens needed to be highly relevant and personalized, ensuring a seamless experience while encouraging users to take advantage of exclusive offers. The key problem was balancing promotional content with user experience, ensuring that the offers would drive sales without causing friction during the checkout process.
Role: I worked as the UX Design intern, and I was responsible for designing the promotional screens, ensuring they were seamlessly integrated into the checkout flow. My tasks included conducting a competitive analysis, creating user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and creating the final designs for the promotional interfaces.
Learnings: This project taught me how to create relevant, personalized promotional content that enhances user experience without disrupting the checkout process.
